Sam Bishop

Sam Bishop is Chairman of the Board of TOTLCOM Inc. the position he has held since launching his communications company in the wake of the break-up of the Bell System. In this role, Sam has managed his company through the complex analog/electronic/digital/IP evolution of the telecommunications industry. During this time, TOTLCOM has grown to four physical offices in Northern California, with system installations and support throughout the United States with a few foreign locations as well.

Sam has more than 40 years of management experience in telecommunications, starting as an Electronics Maintenance Officer in the United States Navy, then a Product Engineer for Sylvania Electronics Systems. Prior to starting his own business, Sam spent 10 years as General Manager of Santa Cruz Telephone Answering and Radio Service, a radio common carrier (pre-dates cell phones).

In 1997, Sam brought together a group of owners of telecommunications companies to form Technology Assurance Group (TAG). After serving as Chairman of the board for 10 years, Sam sold his stock in the company, allowing TAG to become totally independent. It now consists of over 100 members across the country and approximately $300m in annual sales.

An active member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Santa Cruz, Sam is also an avid flyer. He is Past World President of the International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians. As a member and Past President of Los Medicos Voladores (The Flying Doctors) since 1976, Sam continues to transport medical professionals to support clinics in the US and Mexico. His other passion is fly fishing and for the past four years, he has been President of the Santa Cruz Fly Fisherman Club.

Sam holds a BSEE degree from University of New Mexico.

Jerry Greer

Jerry Greer is the President and Chief Operations Officer with TOTLCOM Inc.

Mr. Greer has been in the telecommunications industry since 1980. His experience includes both Field Service Engineering and Administrative roles. He began his career with one of the first and most successful independent Interconnect companies in California, Compath, Later Tel-Plus as a warehouse manager, field service technician and later Field Supervisor. Compath was the First and Largest distributor of Rolm, Toshiba and Mitel products in California.

Before joining TOTLCOM in 1989 Jerry worked for several years as an independent Telecommunications Contractor. He was involved in many significant deployments of large, complex networked Telephony and Data systems, including Modesto Junior College, City of Stockton, AAA and others.

Working in conjunction with a team of highly trained and capable Engineers Jerry mainly focuses on the Support and Implementation of IP based communications systems and networks including: ShoreTel, Toshiba, Cisco, Adtran, Netgear, Sonicwall, IBM and HP product lines.

Over the years Jerry and Totlcom Inc. have supported many local and regional charities including but not limited to: Sund – Carrington, American Red Cross and The United Way.

Jerry and his wife Lisa make their home in the Modesto Area. They have five children and four grandchildren.

Jerry’s hobbies include playing guitar in a band and fishing.

Rod Belton

Rod Belton is a Vice President with TOTLCOM Inc. In this role he manages administrative functions of the company.

Mr. Belton is no stranger to the telecommunications industry. His experience includes more than 40 years of leadership as both a purchaser and a provider of telecommunications services and equipment. Before joining TOTLCOM in 1984 Rod Belton worked for 12 years as Telecommunications Manager for a nationwide retail photo-finishing corporation. In this capacity in 1981 he participated in Congressional hearings that resulted in deregulation of the telecommunications industry and birth of the interconnect industry.

Drawing on his years of experience and collaborative leadership style Rod Belton now focuses mainly on human resources tasks and process improvement opportunities.

A big believer of community services and international humanitarian efforts Rod is very active with Rotary International. He has served the organization in a variety of leadership and training positions.

Rod Belton and wife Nancy make their home in the foothills between Monterey and Salinas, California. They have two grown daughters, one son-in-law and three grandchildren.

Phil Kemmerer

Phil Kemmerer is a Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer with TOTLCOM Inc. In this capacity Mr. Kemmerer supervises the Purchasing and Inventory Control for the company.

He establishes and maintains relationships with vendors to keep Totlcom’s product offerings competitive while maintaining high quality standards.

Mr. Kemmerer has 30 years experience in telecommunications serving in technical, sales , and management. Prior to joining TOTLCOM in 1991 he spent 10 years with Siemens Tel Plus managing technical operations in the Bay Area. He started the Fresno Division in the capacity of General Manager and has also overseen the Hayward and Napa offices prior to them being incorporated into different divisions. His other daily functions include sales and technical support for all offices.

Kemmerer enjoys fishing, playing guitar, and woodworking. He and his wife Carole reside in the Central Valley near Modesto.

Aaron McDonald

Aaron McDonald is Vice President of Managed Services.
